Wednesdays at FCC

Wednesdays at FCC are designed to create space in the middle of the week to pray, connect, and seek God together. Each week has a different focus that helps us look beyond ourselves, from praying for the needs of our FCC family, to our neighbors, our city, the nations, and the broader Church. Our hope is to cultivate a growing culture of prayer and partnership as we seek God’s presence and purposes in our community and around the world.

Our Wednesday Rhythms

There is no official Wednesday gathering on the first Wednesday of the month. This intentional pause creates bandwidth for participation in 1st Fridays, Harp & Bowl, Healing, and other opportunities to engage in prayer and worship.

We turn our attention outward, praying for our city and county and for the ministries and organizations serving our local community. Together, we ask God to bless our neighbors and empower those working to bring hope and healing throughout our community.

We pray for the needs of FCC as a church family and for the people who call FCC home. This is a time to seek God together for our congregation, our ministries, our leaders, and the needs of our church community.

We gather around the table and pray for the nations represented in our community, particularly those with connections to Harrisonburg. Each month, we will also pray for an unreached people group, ideally connecting that people group with the nation represented in our local community.

When there is a fifth Wednesday, we focus on the larger Church throughout our city and county. We seek opportunities to pray with and for other congregations—either welcoming another church to FCC to receive prayer or going to their location to pray and encourage them.
